John Gallen - Lecturer

John Gallen has spent over 25 years in the music industry. Throughout his career John has handled a freelance career recording, mixing and producing for artists including Queen, Simply Red, George Benson, Aswad, Rick Astley, Boy George, Billy Ocean, Motorhead, Incognito and The Damned to name a few.

Today, John continues to keep his hand in on selected recording projects when time allows and is the first choice recording engineer for some of the UK’s top musicians.

As an audio production tutor at ACM students can learn a vast amount from one of the best in the industry.

Professor Stretch - Lecturer

Prof Stretch isn't just an audio production tutor at ACM, but has been producing high quality dance music for the past 12 years. Stretch has worked with All Saints, Gabrielle, Sugababes, Lightning Seeds, and Eric Clapton to name a few.

He remixed ‘Feel The Sunshine’ by Alex Reece, which is one of only a handful of D&B tunes to break into the Top 20. Stretch has achieved notable critical acclaim for his project, ‘The Underwolves’ and having recently completed the 2nd Underwolves album, he has been on a successful tour of the U.K. His latest remixing duties have included Deepest Blue (Ministry of Sound) and Jill Scott (Epic).

Clive Cherry - Lecturer

Clive’s background incorporates years of touring and performing in a variety of bands, owning a successful business and running a well-reputed recording studio. Clive brings his high level of experience in industry into the recording studios at ACM as a music production tutor on our Audio Production courses.

Des Oliver - Lecturer

Des studied composition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy of Music. His music has been performed all over the world, including Estonia, Helsinki and Prague. Des’s opera Miss Treat was performed at the Bridewell Theatre receiving rave reviews from the Observer, Independent and Telegraph newspapers. He also works as a string arranger as well as an audio production tutor here at ACM.

Adam Pain - Lecturer

A graduate of LIPA, Adam has extensive live and studio experience, having worked throughout the UK and the Middle East. Currently dividing his time between being a music production tutor at ACM and producing from his own studio, Adam is responsible for the cover mounted CD’s on Future Publishing’s Guitar Techniques magazine.

Fraser Smith - Lecturer

As well as being an audio production tutor at ACM, Fraser is also a professional record producer, songwriter and musician based in London who has been in the music industry for 15 years, including several years writing, touring and recording as a member of UK band Shed Seven, who scored 17 UK top 40 hits between 1994 - 2003.

He has produced and mixed records for Little Man Tate, Dog Almighty, The Yards, Sketches, WinterKids, Shed Seven, Ian Brown, Ali Whitton & The Broke Record Players, Hayley Hutchinson, Pinstripe, Crane Brothers, One Hit Wonders, Soulseekerz, The Halcyon Band and loads of other great acts.

Fraser is signed to Notting Hill Music Publishing, and his songs have made appearences in TV, film and advertising campaigns worldwide.

Recent projects include mixing the new album from The Yards, mixing the debut single from Sketches, producing The Brights and producing, mixing and co-writing "Both Sides Of The Sun" by Kate Smith.

Chris Jenkins - Lecturer

Chris JenkinsChris Jenkins is a signed artist and media creative. He is a producer and head engineer at Stakeout Studios London and editor in chief of DIY MUSIC VIDEO Magazine.

His multimedia work includes a wide range of film and video projects, post production sound and collaborations on high end web design.

Antony Greaves – Commercial Development Manager

Antony is Head of Audio Production here at ACM. He studied music technology at Kingston University and subsequently worked freelance as a Pro Tools engineer and music video editor. Antony then took up a position as technical engineer at Mayfair Recording Studios where he fast became a key component in the studio success, making important contacts with artists such as Travis, Supergrass, Coldplay and Robbie Williams. He then went on to complete the design and manufacture of Coldplay’s demo studio in a freelance capacity. As well as running the Audio Production School, Antony also works as a freelance producer and engineer on a number of projects.

Adi Winman - Lecturer

Adi Winman started his career at Pink Floyd’s Britannia Row Studios, where he worked with artists such as Pulp, Suede and Pink Floyd themselves, before moving on to Great Linford Manor Studios as ‘in-house’ engineer. Adi holds a Masters degree in Audio Engineering and writes for leading games industry magazine Develop. Currently, Adi is Music Supervisor and Project Manager for Platinum Sound Publishing – the supplier of music for many multi-award winning games such as MOTO GP06/07 (XBOX 360) and Juiced Eliminator (PSP). Adi is also Creative Director and Audio Consultant at Dilute Recordings, which provides audio services for the games, music and multimedia industries.

As an audio production tutor at ACM Adi has a great deal of experience to share with our students.

Chad Jackson - Lecturer

Chad is credited as one of the people that popularised the art of creative DJ Mixing around the world and one of the first ever globally-known superstar DJs. Chad became the Technics/DMC World DJ Mixing Champion and was a resident at Manchester’s legendary Hacienda. Chad subsequently had a UK No.1 single ‘Hear The Drummer Get Wicked’ and has since had many hit chart releases under various guises. He has also worked with the likes of De La Soul, Norman Cook, Prince, Grace Jones, Run DMC and Public Enemy.

As an audio production tutor Chad's wealth of experience in the industry is of great benefit to ACM students.

Brian Henry - Lecturer

Brian Henry is a producer, session keyboard player, musical director and songwriter. Over the last ten years, Brian has been involved in the music industry professionally in various roles. He has toured extensively throughout Europe, the Far East and the USA, with acts such as Eternal, Gabrielle, Mica Paris, Shola Ama, Mark Morrison and Carron Wheeler (Soul II Soul). He has latterly been writing and producing tracks for albums by artists including Chaka Khan, Incognito and the Brand New Heavies. Brian can also be found at ACM as one of our keyboard tutors.

Tim Hart - Lecturer

One of the first graduates of the ACM’s degree programme, Tim has gone on to become a successful writer, producer and engineer as well as being an audio production tutor back at ACM. He joined Jiant Productions in 2004 to work with major artists such as Sugababes, Gareth Gates and Busted to name but a few. Tim has completed music for several major console games and written, produced and published material for television synchronisation. Tim is keenly involved in the development of music technology and composition teaching and is currently undertaking a post-graduate qualification.

Kevan Gallagher - Lecturer

Kevan worked at many studios including Battery, Westside, Jacobs and Marcus before moving to Mark Angelo Studios where he worked as chief engineer. Kevan is a sought after recording and mix engineer and has recently worked on the forthcoming debut album “Still Waters” for Blue Note artist Louise Setara. Kevan has also just completed two songs with Ronan Keating and is about to commence mixing of the debut album by Swiss artist Onaje with producer Ken Rose.

Kevan also spends time at ACM as one of our audio production tutors.

Peter Dudley - Lecturer

Peter started his career by working in a music retail store. This gave him many opportunities to learn and demonstrate the latest music technology including using some of the latest MIDI keyboards, samplers and drum machines. He became an audio production tutor through his freelance work and during that time has worked with the likes of Gorillaz, Jamiroquai, The Brand New Heavies and Vanessa Mae to name but a few. Peter is currently a part of the worldwide Apple VIP user group for testing the latest versions of Logic Pro.
